To help you sort through some of the normal and not-so-normal ones, we thought it’d be fun to recreate one of our older posts. The top seven classy and funky cases for iPhone 6 article is making a comeback. This time, we’re updating the list for iPhone 7.
Classy
1. Apple Leather Case
The veteran Apple Leather Case makes a return for one of our classy iPhone 7 picks. This case truly is just about right for nearly everyone. It’s thick enough to offer decent protection and thin enough to not add too much weight or bulk. Plus it makes your iPhone look so professional. It’s a bit pricey, but the one case should last you quite a while. I’m currently rocking the black leather on my black iPhone 7 Plus and I haven’t looked back. Also if you don’t want to spend too much cash on leather, a great alternative is opting for the silicone case instead. Weigh the pros and cons first with our help before making a decision.
2. Caseology Savoy
The Caseology Savoy is just downright gorgeous. It makes your iPhone 7 look like a precious jewel. For the entire duration I owned an iPhone 6s, I wore the navy blue and rose gold Savoy on it. I can’t even begin to tell you how many compliments I would get. The Savoy comes in several color combinations. Each has one large matte panel on the back with two glossy strips in rose gold on the top and bottom. The contrast of the matte with the gloss is just stunning. If you’re worried about the rose gold looking too much like pink, rest assured it looks far closer to gold than pink to my eye. The thinness probably won’t save you from drops, but it offers decent protection from scratches and bumps. The case is hard polycarbonate, but the inside is lined with smooth microfiber.
3. Spigen Rugged Armor
The name of this case does not match its look at all. The Spigen Rugged Armor is a classy TPU case featuring a glossy carbon fiber texture across the top and bottom. The carbon fiber texture gives it just enough contrast to stand out in a crowd. Yet it still looks super sleek when paired especially with a black or jet black iPhone 7. The TPU means it’s both flexible yet durable. It’s a thinner case, but should offer mild protection and even just a bit of shock absorption too. It comes in black or midnight blue.
4. Case-Mate Folio Wristlet
The Case-Mate Folio Wristlet looks like a pinnacle of elegance. It’s a folio case, so it wraps entirely around the iPhone with a flap to access the display. The Wristlet is made with genuine leather with glossy metal accents and features a wrist strap to carry your phone. Being that it’s essentially a wallet case, the Wristlet includes four slots to the left of your iPhone for storing cards. It’s essentially like a high-end wallet and phone case in one.
Funky
5. Case-Mate Tough Layers Emoji
Case-Mate is making one more appearance on this list. Their Tough Layers Emoji case is easily one of the coolest iPhone cases I’ve seen. Plus it looks great. It features several different emojis all in a fun outlined pattern on the back of the device. The case has a flexible inner layer and a hard outer shell, but both are traced perfectly for a unique effect leaving exposed holes in between the outlines. The case is iridescent too so it changes color based on the angle and amount of light reflecting off of it. It’s a funky pick for just about anyone. You can buy the Case-Mate Tough Layers Emoji case through Case-Mate’s website. It’s $35 for the iPhone 7.
6. Ringke Air Prism
Ringke’s Air Prism has a standout geometric design on the back. Not only does this look wicked cool, but also the bumpiness should help with shock absorption too. That’s two birds with one stone if I’ve ever seen it. Of course, it’s not the most rugged case. The Air Prism is simply a thin, flexible TPU case much like the Spigen Rugged Armor from above. It comes in four colors, but the clear works with any color iPhone and seems to give a unique bedazzled look.
7. Zazzle Cases
This isn’t one case, but a whole slew of cases. Zazzle is known for having thousands of fun, creative iPhone cases mostly from its thriving community. Users submit designs and put them up for sale. If you’re looking for something funky, you’re bound to find something here. Even better, if you’re tired of searching, you too can upload your own picture or design and turn it into an iPhone case. Zazzle’s cases are rarely inexpensive, but at least you’ll have something really creative to show off. Browse the collection of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus cases on Zazzle’s site.
